Harcum College hosted their annual Student Leadership Awards and for the first time, SubstiToothFairy was in attendance to present the SubstiToothFairy Dental Staffing Award to an outstanding EFDA student in the graduating 2025 class!

Being fellow Harcum Alumni (2004), this award truly means the world to me, personally, to be able to encourage graduating Harcum students to keep reaching for the stars.

The SubstiToothFairy Dental Staffing Award highlights an outstanding student based on merit, that demonstrates dedication, persistence, and excellent team-player attitude.

One name came to mind for the Director of the Harcum EFDA Program, and that was Kasey Miesowitz.

In the dental clinic, she is always going above and beyond to help fellow classmates and teachers alike. She made competencies and evaluations effortless, so much so, one instructor jovially stated, “She completed so many restorations that we lost count.”

From her internship, the doctor’s remarks were, “She was a breath of fresh air! We haven’t had someone as good as her since I can’t remember when. Please send us more ladies like her.”

This student has shown tremendous effort beyond the dental clinic, which included providing residential student support, being an RA, and helping around campus with Harcum Open House events- all enthusiastically.

Although this award is based mainly upon merit, her GPA is an impressive 3.61 with achieving the Dean’s two times as well as achieving the National Honor Society.

Kasey, you have made Harcum and SubstiToothFairy very proud to honor you!
